Bayrische Dampfnudeln

Serves 4

500g flour
20g yeast, broken into little pieces
375ml warm milk
80g sugar
100g melted butter
2 eggs
pinch salt

Sauce:

100g butter
6 tbsp sugar
250ml milk



·      Sieve ¾ of the flour into a bowl and place yeast in the middle. Add ½ cup of the warm milk and the 2 tsp sugar. Mix thoroughly and set aside for 20mins.
·      Now add the remaining flour, milk, sugar, eggs and salt. Mix until little bubbles appear. 
·      Form balls from dough, cover and set aside until double in size.
Sauce:

·      Melt butter in a pot and brown the sugar. Then add milk.

 
·      Now place the balls in the pot. Cover with a wet kitchen towel and a lid. 
·      Cook on low heat for about 30mins   

DO NOT OPEN THE POT AT ALL!!!!
